This is an onsite role focused on Automating Network related processes using Python.
The role will heavily involve working with PAN Firewalls and Rest API’s as well.
Required Skills:
- 4+ In Automation Engineering is hard requirement
- Python 2.7 AND 3.6 to 3.12 (3.12 is latest version)
- Automation Tool experience (Preferably Velocity or Cloud Shell)
- Rest APIs
- Network Experience (CCNA or CCNP highly preferred but not required)
- Utilizing Rest API’s for backend communication to databases using Python. Kubernetes or Docker being deployed on GCP. Tying Rest API’s into Firewalls, Palo Alto Network Firewalls, CCNA or CCNP certifications
- Implementation and management of Lab Automation utilizing Spirent Velocity platform/framework using Python 3.6 and higher.
- Build Virtual machines in VMware ESXi environment using tools like Ansible.
- Maintain and expand back-end REST api calls using FastAPI and PonyORM.
- Training and assisting users with lab systems, tools and processes.
- Building software libraries that interact with many common engineering/IT services such as LDAP/Active Directory, JIRA, GCP, AWS, GMail suite, DNS, Salesforce. ServicesNOW, VMware SDK, and others.
- Ability to develop tools within a virtual environment as well as within a task queue system such as Celery and RabbitMQ.
- Managing code using git and the repository GitLab as well as complying with security concerns when managing a company's proprietary intellectual property.
- Interaction with Docker containers, GCP, Kubernetes, and AWS and other cloud systems to deploy and maintain back end services.
- Experience with both a waterfall and agile development environment for developing, sustaining, testing, and supporting new and existing services.
- Must be willing to create functional specifications and documentation for new features and tools as they are developed.
