Position Overview
Seeking Quality Assurance Engineers at the Level 2 and Level 3 levels to support complex quality assurance and continuous improvement activities within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists, while deriving Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and establishing Q-gates.
- Monitor and analyze First Pass Yield metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Monitor customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) during customer audits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and certification audits (UL, CSA, ISO).
- Perform COPQ analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance profitability.
- Map current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement through automation.
- Lead Continuous Improvement projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in quality tools including FMEA, 7 QC Tools, 5S, 5 Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC, and 8D Root Cause Analysis.
- Familiarity with industry standards including UL1561, NEMA ST-20, IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, DOE 2016, UL891, and CSA C22.2.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
