Job Title: Scientist 1 – LNP Formulation
Location: San Diego, CA – 100% Onsite
Pay Rate: $46.43/hr
Duration: 3 Months
Job Description
- Execute and optimize formulation and characterization of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs/tLNPs) for nucleic acid delivery.
- Formulate and encapsulate mRNA, siRNA, or DNA for in vitro and in vivo studies.
- Design and execute Design of Experiments (DoE) screening campaigns to optimize LNP composition and processing parameters.
- Support early-stage formulation development and downstream processing, including cryoprotection, scale-up, and stability studies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support formulation development requests.
- Maintain detailed formulation records and analyze, interpret, and present experimental data.
- Support laboratory operations including inventory tracking, supply ordering, buffer preparation, and autoclaving.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline with 4+ years of biopharma industry experience.
- OR Master's degree in a related discipline with 1+ years of biopharma industry experience.
