Job Description:
- Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
- Pay: $21/hr W2
- 6 months contract, high possibility for extension based on performance and budget.
- Shift: Mon – Thurs; 7am to 5pm.
- Bonus payout.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience in painting, paint spraying from manufacturing, industrial background using painting spray gun/equipment.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation
- Ability to work up to 5 days per week up to 10 hours per day (4-day 40 hour workweek average)
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Effective organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Must be able to: list 50 pounds and walk frequently, stand for extended periods
- Quality-focused workmanship
- Willingness to learn and be taught
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in an assembly role
- Fork truck driving experience
- Ability to use computer
- Good oral and written communication skills and ability to follow written and spoken instructions
- Basic analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, read documents, and do basic counting and measurements
- Experience in assembly/manufacturing operations
Responsibilities:
- Assemble valves for stock and customer orders based on date, priority, and established KPIs
- Document production and inventory usage
- Move product around warehouse in a safe and organized manner using fork trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material movement devices
- Perform quality inspection tasks for assembled products
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Perform routine maintenance and checks on equipment as instructed
- Work with purchasing to optimize inventory accuracy and amounts on-hand
- Help implement various safety, quality, delivery, and cost-savings projects
- Contribute to department continuous improvement culture
- Other tasks as assigned
