Job Summary
- Seeking an experienced Python & Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and support scalable data solutions and analytics platforms.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, Snowflake, SQL, cloud technologies, and modern data engineering practices.
- This role will collaborate with business, data, and application teams to deliver robust data pipelines, reporting solutions, and cloud-native applications.
- Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Snowflake SQL.
- Develop stored procedures, UDFs, Snowpark solutions, and data transformation frameworks.
- Implement data quality validation, data lineage, and monitoring processes.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, warehouse sizing, and query execution.
- Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and data processing applications using Python.
- Build reusable frameworks and utilities for data ingestion and transformation.
- Create automation scripts for operational processes and cloud resource management.
- Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring solutions.
- Work with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Support deployment automation and environment management.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Prepare technical designs, solution documentation, and release artifacts.
- Support production deployments, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of software development and data engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Strong SQL and database development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
- Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Experience with Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modeling.
- Experience with Pandas, PySpark, or related data processing frameworks.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Financial services or risk management domain experience.
- Exposure to data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in Risk Management, Stress Testing, or Financial Reporting platforms.
- Knowledge of real-time data processing and messaging systems.
- SnowPro Certification.
- Experience with reporting and analytics solutions.
