Title: QC Lab Specialist
Location: Onsite - Red Lion, PA
Shifts: M-F
1st: 7am - 5pm for an 8.5 hr.
Job Summary:
Responsible for conducting routine and non-routine analysis of environmental samples, raw materials and in-process samples according to standard operating procedures. Completes appropriate documentation to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, digital systems, and inventory forms.
Role and Responsibilities
• Calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Executes testing according to associated standard operating procedures
• Reviews data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities.
• Executes validation protocols, laboratory test plans, and reports results to management.
• Prepares documentation for presentation to Regulatory Agencies.
• Applies knowledge of good manufacturing practices and good laboratory practices on a daily basis.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook, Explorer, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Education/Certification
• Bachelor's Degree Microbiology or related discipline
Additional Information:
Vision Requirements: Must have 20/20 (instead of 20/40) vision. Applicants can/should wear their prescription glasses for the exam.
