Details for the position are as follows:
- 10-month contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion depending on performance and business needs
- Rate: $58 an hour
- Location: Groton, CT – 100% onsite
- The Global Pathology Quality Control Scientist leverages expertise in anatomic and/or clinical pathology techniques and processes to independently perform all aspects of quality control for pathology data, specimens, and reports associated with GLP and non-GLP studies. This work supports candidate selection, first-in-human studies, early research, target safety assessment, and investigative toxicology efforts.
- Perform all responsibilities in compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, animal welfare regulations, and departmental policies/procedures
- Independently conduct quality control reviews of anatomic and/or clinical pathology data, specimens, and reports
- Ensure adherence to study reporting timelines and deliverables
- Support data integrity and quality control activities related to DSRD publications
- Contribute to pathology scheduling and coordination activities as needed
- Participate in audit readiness and regulatory compliance activities
- BS in Biology or a related scientific discipline with 5–7 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a GLP-regulated environment
- Minimum 5 years of relevant quality control experience
- Strong knowledge of pathology-related disciplines, including: Necropsy, Histology, Clinical pathology, Animal science
- Experience in preclinical research and toxicology workflows
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance activities
- Strong understanding of pathology data integrity standards
