We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join a team in Lake Mary, FL. This role is ideal for candidates with strong medical billing experience, specifically handling front-end claim rejections and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and manage medical billing claims accurately and timely
• Correct and resubmit front-end and back-end rejected claims
• Verify insurance coverage and communicate patient co-pay responsibilities
• Submit electronic and paper claims to payers
• Ensure all required documentation is collected prior to claim submission
• Follow up on outstanding claims, invoices, and payment collections
• Maintain accurate client and billing information in the system
• Support customer service inquiries related to billing and payments
• Stay current on reimbursement guidelines and regulatory requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Medical Billing experience is required
• Experience working front-end claim rejections is required
• Insurance verification and claims processing experience
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI compliance standards
Preferred experience:
• Previous DME (Durable Medical Equipment) experience
