QC Inspector

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a QC Inspector for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in St. Paul, MN. Details for the position are as follows:
 
 
Job Description:
  • Payrate: $28 - 30/hr W2
  • Duration: 7 months contract (possible extension based on performance & budget)
  • Shift: 7am to 3:30pm.
  • Seeking an inspector with experience performing inspection under magnification in a controlled clean room environment.
  • Inspection position will require gowning to access the cleanroom environment, which includes gown, face mask, hair net, booties, safety glasses, etc.
  • Individual should be comfortable being gowned for up to 80% of their position timing.
 
Required Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience is required.
  • Experience in Quality performing Visual inspection is required.
  • Prior Cleanroom experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior medical device component inspection experience preferred – any knowledge of FDA, GMP, ISO 13485 a plus.
  • SAP + MES experience a plus.
  • Experience with optical measurement equipment, hand tools, gages, pressure and force gage testing is a plus.
  • Experience with inspection with magnification 10x or 20x is a plus.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Performs visual, dimensional and functional inspection and testing according to documented policies and procedures.
  • Records inspection and test data as prescribed by written instructions and procedures.
  • Operates all associated test and measurement equipment as instructed and as documented in procedures.
  • Develops inspection methods. Write procedures for inspection methods.
  • Support validation/qualification activities Develops and recommends changes to inspection procedures.
  • Ability to program CMM and Optical systems.
  • Proficiency in SAP with respect to incoming material QC requirements Recommends changes to policies, procedures and inspection requirements.
  • Documents non-conformances in Non-Conforming Material Review system.
  • Participates in GR&R studies as directed by engineers or technicians.
  • Collects and analyzes data for First Article inspections.
  • Performs testing and inspection in accordance with special test requests.
  • Contributes to test and measurement equipment selection.
  • Interface with suppliers as required in support of material quality / technical inspection May train other inspection staff on use of equipment.
  • Assists in gathering, analyzing, and trending of data
