Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Scientist II to support tissue processing and histology workflows in a research/laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in tissue preparation, staining, and analysis, with the ability to deliver high-quality, reproducible results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tissue processing to prepare high-quality samples following established protocols
- Perform tissue embedding using paraffin and frozen section techniques
- Conduct tissue staining including IHC, IF, and histological staining
- Troubleshoot and optimize protocols for consistent and reliable results
- Collaborate with researchers on experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, results, and inventory
- Ensure compliance with lab safety and quality standards
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in tissue processing, staining, and embedding
- Strong expertise in histological techniques, including paraffin and cryosectioning
- Experience with IHC, IF, and related staining methods
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize tissue preparation workflows
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HPLC
- Exposure to ocular or skin tissue work
- Familiarity with 3D printing (nice to have)
Education:
- PhD or Master’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience may be considered
