Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager I to support the Immunology Medical Payer Strategy team within a leading global pharmaceutical organization. This role partners closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, HEOR, and Commercial teams to help develop and execute payer-focused medical strategy initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience supporting medical affairs, payer strategy, health economics/outcomes research (HEOR), or real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development and execution of medical payer strategy initiatives within Immunology
- Partner cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, and HEOR teams
- Develop and manage payer-facing materials including:
- Slide decks
- FAQs
- Scientific and pharmacoeconomic resources
- Route materials through regulatory and approval workflows for field use
- Assist with real-world evidence (RWE) strategy and evidence-generation initiatives
- Monitor scientific literature, payer policy updates, and competitive landscape activity
- Support advisory boards, webinars, payer symposia, and medical education programs
- Assist with regulatory, legal, and OEC review discussions
- Provide scientific and health economic support to payer strategy initiatives
- Help develop strategic training materials for payer and value/access teams
- Lead or coordinate cross-functional subteams for assigned projects
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree strongly preferred (PhD, PharmD, or similar)
- Pharmaceutical industry experience within:
- Medical Affairs
- HEOR
- Market Access
- Payer Strategy
- Real-World Evidence (RWE)
- Experience leading projects and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Understanding of payer strategy and population health decision maker needs
- Familiarity with regulatory processes and approval workflows
- Basic understanding of:
- Statistics
- Real-world evidence methodologies
- Pharmacoeconomics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
- Immunology therapeutic area experience
- Experience creating payer-facing scientific materials
- Exposure to advisory boards, webinars, or medical education initiatives
- Experience collaborating with HEOR or Value & Access teams
