The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Logistics Analyst for a prominent client of ours. This position is located at Nashville, TN. Details for the position are as follows:
Title: Logistics Analyst I
Location: 26 Century Plaza, Nashville, TN 37214
Duration: 6 mo
Pay: $25.93
Hours: 8AM to 5PM CST - Monday to Friday, may require after hour or weekend support
ON-SITE
Must Haves:
o Previous experience in logistics/transportation preferably in air and small parcel shipping required
o Proficient at basic MS suite such as Excel required
-Communication via Outlook required
-PowerPoint for recurring reviews with freight forwarders required
-Knowledge of frequently used excel formulas required
o Self-driven, problem-solver, good communication skills, and ability to work independently
Education: While candidates with completed degrees are preferred, a degree is not required to be considered for this position
Experience: Preferably at least 1 year of experience
Summary: Operate industrial trucks or machinery in a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location. Responsible for the operation of heavy machinery to safely move product load around the facility. Typically has a high school diploma, a forklift operators? license (for forklift operation) and experience in a production environment. This may or may not be true with other heavy machinery operators. The technical skills include the ability to transport production materials and goods.Education/Experienceo High school diploma or GED required o 2-4 years manufacturing experience required Responsibility levelo Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisorSkillso Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, team player and problem solving skills (Required)o Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods (Required)Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:o Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete deliveryo Move controls to drive vehicles and transport materials between loading, processing and storage areaso Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts and hoists, to load, unload, transport and stack materialo Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids and boxes and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas
