Overview
The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Customer Accounts Specialist to support a high-volume Revenue Cycle Management team. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on medical billing and insurance experience who are comfortable handling patient inquiries and resolving billing issues in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This is a fully onsite position — no remote or hybrid options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls related to patient billing statements and account inquiries
- Follow up on outstanding patient balances and support collections efforts
- Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to resolve discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve unpaid or denied claims in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and account resolution
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all account activity
- Meet established quality, productivity, and service standards
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle, or healthcare customer service
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, claims, and EOB interpretation
- Experience handling patient account inquiries and billing-related calls
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with billing systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar EMR platforms
- Background in collections or accounts receivable follow-up
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and billing regulations
