The Fountain Group is currently seeking an IT Project Coordinator for a prominent client of ours. This position is 100% Remote Details for the position are as follows:
Contract of 8 months to start, with potential extensions.
Pay range is $33-35/hr.
Remote - Must be willing to support EST time zone.

Key member supporting our IT Project Management Office, working closely with the Corning businesses, developers, data scientists, analysts and domain experts to deploy IT solutions to meet customer requirements. Your work is crucial to our global digital transformation efforts because it helps deliver high quality solutions that create value for Corning. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own project tasks while leveraging agile practices where possible. Interaction with cross functional teams, collaboration, communication, and attention to detail will be critical.
- As an IT Project Coordinator, your main responsibilities will be to assist the Project Manager. This includes understanding project goals, deadlines, priorities, resource administration, financial management, and assistance in preparing presentations and general coordination / administrative tasks, which may include some meeting scheduling.
- The project coordinator reports to the IT Project Management Office and has a dotted line to the IT Project Manager to which the projects are assigned.
- Maintain project financial trackers, forecasting, and spend updates
- Update systems used for financial and project reporting
- Monitor and report cross project dependencies
- Support PMs in developing work plans and maintaining document repositories
- Ensure project quality, timeliness, and alignment with Portfolio standards
- Serve as the SDLC/Project Quality SME for assigned projects
- Own and maintain quality deliverables, metrics, approvals, and QA documentation
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX) throughout the lifecycle
- Report quality metrics, risks, and statuses; escalate issues as needed
- Lead quality reviews and inspections of project artifacts
- Lead and manage testing activities: system, integration, regression, performance, and UAT
- Define testing scope, strategy, cycles, timelines, and resource needs
- Ensure test environments, data, and tools are ready
- Manage the defect lifecycle—triage, tracking, reporting, and communication
- Facilitate performance testing discovery and assess requirements
- Adjust testing processes based on project changes
- Coordinate testing across vendors, functional/technical teams, business partners, and leadership
- Guide teams in test script development and maintain test plans, approaches, and success metrics
- Drive defect resolution and root cause analysis with appropriate teams
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study. (minimum required)
- Certification in project management methodologies is desired, but not required.
- Certification in agile methodologies is desired, but not required.
- A minimum of 3+ years working as an IT project team member. Quality Analyst experience preferred.
- Experience applying SDLC methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Iterative) within enterprise IT project environments.
- Experience with Planview for resource and financial management preferred.
