Robotics Project Engineer
Pay: $65 – $69/hour
Work Arrangement: Onsite preferred (open to remote for highly experienced candidates)
Travel: 25–40% travel to U.S. sites
Overview
We are seeking a Robotics Project Engineer to support enterprise automation initiatives within a global Factory of the Future program. This role focuses on identifying robotics and automation opportunities across multiple sites, developing business cases, and leading project execution in partnership with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
This is not a hands-on robotics field role. Instead, the position focuses on consulting, project leadership, and site assessments to determine how robotics solutions can improve operations.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate manufacturing, logistics, and laboratory processes to identify automation and robotics opportunities.

Develop cost-benefit analyses and business cases for robotics implementation.

Collaborate with site teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Lead multiple robotics initiatives simultaneously across various locations.

Manage vendor and robotics integrator relationships, including selection, procurement support, and performance oversight.

Coordinate project execution with internal teams and external partners.

Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives and pilot robotics solutions.

Provide technical guidance from project discovery through implementation.

Ensure projects align with operational goals and regulatory requirements where applicable.
Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of robotics or automation experience in roles such as robotics engineering, applications engineering, automation engineering, or sales engineering.

Experience deploying robotics in manufacturing, logistics, or laboratory environments.

Familiarity with robotics platforms such as KUKA, FANUC, ABB, UR, MiR, Otto, or similar technologies.

Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Experience translating operational challenges into automated solutions.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or medical devices.

Familiarity with GMP, FDA, ISO standards, and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ).

Experience preparing project documentation, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.

Background working with robotics vendors and system integrators.
Additional Details

Travel is required 1–2 times per month to U.S. locations including Illinois, California, Texas, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico.

Work may require occasional time in manufacturing environments with standard PPE.
