The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Account Manager for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Mettawa, IL (HYBRID). Details for the position are as follows:
Contract of 1-year, likely long-term extensions and/or conversion.
Pay rate: $36-38/hr.
Hybrid: 3 days onsite/2 days remote.

Location: Mettawa (ABV1) — onsite Tues/Wed/Thurs
Note: A degree is preferred. Contractors without degrees cannot convert.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact between the internal agency and brand teams.
- Manage day to day account and project responsibilities.
- Assist with running projects once fully trained.
- Maintain deep understanding of agency workflow, including kickoff, collaboration, reviews, production, and archiving.
- Collaborate with brand teams on project briefs.
- Recommend promotional tactics aligned with brand strategy and objectives.
- Issue client contact reports to ensure quick and accurate communication.
- Review creative work from concept through completion to ensure alignment with expectations, budgets, timelines, and specifications.
- Facilitate timely communication to keep all projects on schedule and within budget.
- Develop annual forecasts and conduct monthly financial reconciliations.
- Track time daily and adhere to corporate financial policies.
- Partner with creative teams on tactical project execution.
- Ensure all work complies with brand guidelines, regulatory standards, and PromoMats processes.
Qualifications
Required / Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred but not required).
- 3–4 years of account management or related experience preferred.
- Previous ad/marketing agency or in-house agency experience needed!
- Experience supporting and managing projects within an agency setting.
- Understanding of product attributes, marketing strategy, target audience, market dynamics, and regulatory considerations (US and Global).
- Strong communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation.
- High energy, organized, and comfortable working in a fast paced, high visibility environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage high-volume workflow.
- Strong problem solving, creative-thinking, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Pharma experience is preferred but they are open to candidates without it.
- Agency experience is important; they do not want candidates coming directly from a client side role.
