The Fountain Group is currently seeking a     Learning Experience/Instructional Designer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in  remote (working EST hours).     Details for the position are as follows:
 

Learning Experience Designer

Pay Rate: $48–$53/hour (based on experience)
Contract: 1-year contract with potential to extend or convert based on performance and budget
Location: Remote working EST hours - local to Framingham, MA preferred 

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Experience Designer to design and develop engaging, learner-centered solutions that drive business impact. This role is an individual contributor who partners closely with global stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate complex needs into effective learning experiences across multiple modalities.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop creative learning solutions across multiple formats, including:
    • Instructor-Led and Virtual Instructor-Led Training (ILT/VILT)
    • Blended learning
    • Interactive eLearning
    • Micro-learning videos
    • Mobile/on-device learning
    • Job aids, certifications, and facilitator/participant guides
  • Partner with global stakeholders and SMEs to translate business requirements into scalable, learner-centered solutions while accounting for geographic and cultural nuances.
  • Translate strategic vision and requirements into storyboards, scripts, and concrete learning designs, incorporating stakeholder feedback.
  • Create design specifications, storyboards, scripts, and prototypes that directly align to learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Build interactive eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline and Rise; produce videos, slides, guides, and job aids using Adobe Creative Cloud and related tools.
  • Maintain, update, and enhance existing learning content to meet evolving business needs.
  • Explore ambiguous or emerging learning topics with curiosity and propose creative, practical solutions.
  • Contribute to reusable templates, asset libraries, naming conventions, and file hygiene to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Organize and prioritize work, manage projects against timelines, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines, manage competing priorities, and pivot quickly as business needs evolve.

Qualifications / What We’re Looking For
Required
  • BA/BS degree in instructional design, instructional technology, graphic design, education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in instructional design, instructional technology, and/or learning/technical communications.
  • Expert-level skills with Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and learning theory.
  • Experience developing SCORM-compliant content and working with LMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with online learning technologies and instructional, graphic, or web design/development tools (e.g., HTML, Articulate, Adobe Creative Cloud, Vyond or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with audio and video editing tools such as:
    • Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Camtasia, Audacity
    • Photoshop, GIMP, SnagIt, Well Said Labs, or similar tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all organizational levels.

  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working through ambiguity.
