- Rate: $40-55 an hour

- 6-month contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion depending on experience and business needs
- Hours: M-F / 8AM -5 PM
- Determine donor eligibility through physical examinations and medical history review in accordance with FDA regulations, SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, CGMP, and internal policies.
- Perform pre-donation screening and required laboratory testing specific to plasmapheresis and leukapheresis procedures.
- Prepare donors for procedures by explaining processes, obtaining informed consent, and addressing concerns.
- Monitor donors throughout procedures and respond promptly to adverse reactions.
- Evaluate, manage, and document donor injuries and adverse events, including medication administration when necessary.
- Review screening tests and medical information to ensure continued donor eligibility.
- Counsel donors regarding unacceptable test results and provide education on health assessment trends.
- Ensure donor awareness of potential risks and hazards specific to procedures.
- Perform and oversee leukapheresis procedures in accordance with approved SOPs and FDA regulations.
- Operate apheresis equipment to ensure accurate collection and processing of blood components.
- Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining apheresis equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Assemble, restock, quality check (QC), and maintain supplies and equipment in a state of readiness.
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of equipment and work areas between donors.
- Ensure full compliance with FDA, SOP, OSHA, CLIA, CGMP, and company policies.
- Maintain complete and accurate donor medical documentation.
- Protect donor and staff confidentiality.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing medical care and patient assessment.
- Experience in therapeutic apheresis, plasma collection, or whole blood collection preferred.
- Qualification in Apheresis (QIA) certification preferred.
