The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Automation Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Elgin, IL. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
Pay: $28/hr
Shift: 6a-2:15p, M-F
Duration: 4-months to start - potential to extend or covert based on performance and budget.
Overview:
- Maintain and repair computer-controlled systems and robotic devices in industrial and commercial settings.
- Provide immediate response to equipment malfunctions and escalate unresolved issues to management and engineering teams.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and diagnostics as outlined in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) documentation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose automation control systems using schematics, diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.
- Install, configure, and commission new robotic systems and production equipment, including hardware upgrades.
- Execute automation programming tasks and support software adjustments in collaboration with engineering.
- Record and analyze data related to root cause analysis, corrective actions, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor and support process improvements and assist engineering teams with process changes.
- Communicate effectively with production, quality, engineering, and management teams.
- Support machine configuration, fixture setups, and adjustments for operators.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, training, and EHS standards.
- Utilize advanced technical knowledge to analyze and resolve complex hardware issues.
Qualifications:
Associates degree in Automation, Robotics or related required.
2+ years of relevant experience required.
