We are The Fountain Group and we are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Procurement Consulting Lead for a prominent client of ours. This position offers Hybrid or Fully remote work arrangements (depending on candidate location) and is based in Cambridge, MA. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- Pay: $70–$85/hr to start
- Assignment: 6-month contract with potential extension based on performance and budget
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40-hour work week; Hybrid (8 days/month onsite) or Remote (depending on candidate location)
Responsibilities
- Support strategic sourcing and category initiatives by assisting with RFP development, bid analysis, supplier negotiations, spend analysis, benchmarking, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage contracts and supplier relationships by reviewing SOWs, validating scope and deliverables, tracking renewals and expirations, and resolving issues with POs, invoices, and contract compliance.
- Ensure compliance and facilitate stakeholder engagement by maintaining accurate procurement records, adhering to company policies, supporting cross-functional projects, and proactively advancing project deliverables to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree highly preferred.
- 10+ years of related experience required (7+ years with a Bachelor’s, 4+ years with a Master’s).
- Experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, including supporting RFPs, bid analysis, supplier negotiations, and conducting spend analysis or benchmarking.
- Knowledge of contract and supplier management, with the ability to review SOWs, validate deliverables and pricing, track renewals, and resolve purchase order or invoice issues.
- Strong organizational and stakeholder collaboration skills, including maintaining accurate procurement documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting cross-functional projects to meet timelines and objectives.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or consumer goods industry highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with industry-specific sourcing, supplier, and compliance practices.
