This is a fully onsite contract role in Fort Meade, MD. The contract is expected to go multiple years.
Due to the national Security nature of this work, the client requires an Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. Candidates without this will be declined.
Position Overview
- The SA is responsible for managing and maintaining complex mission systems in support of federal operations.
- This role involves configuring, troubleshooting, and securing systems across multiple environments, ensuring high availability and compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems and applications.
- Manage system backups, patching, and updates.
- Monitor system performance and availability.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Support RMF documentation and compliance efforts.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic analysis.
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues.
- Collaborate with network engineers, ISSOs, and developers.
- Maintain system documentation and SOPs.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks.
- Optimize system configurations for performance and reliability.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
- Experience: 7+ years of system administration in secure environments.
- Strong Linux
