Position Overview
Seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead and support Safety and Industrial Hygiene programs across a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role provides technical expertise, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement Safety programs aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and control workplace risks through robust EHS processes.
- Conduct assessments, audits, and data analysis to drive improvement strategies.
- Support incident response teams, safety committees, and site inspections.
- Provide technical guidance on facility changes, equipment purchases, and new product development.
- Deploy electronic permitting/work authorization systems.
- Develop and deliver Safety training and awareness programs.
- Oversee contractor safety and permit-to-work procedures.
- Maintain accurate schedules, documentation, and compliance reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related science).
- 4+ years of relevant EHS experience.
- Strong background in Safety and Industrial Hygiene: hazard evaluation, exposure assessment, mitigation.
- Technical knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Proven project leadership experience including schedules/budget oversight.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (presentations, spreadsheets, reports, graphs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CSP, CIH, CHMM.
- Experience with EHS data reporting/tracking systems.
- Background supporting contractor safety, ergonomics, electrical/machine safety, or biosafety.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing/production environment.
