Medical Reviewer
Pay: $$90 - $100/hour
Schedule: Part-time, ~20 hours/week
Location: Lake County, IL (ABV1) or 100% Remote
Contract Length: 6 months with possible extension
Overview
The Medical Reviewer consultant will support the US Immunology Medical Affairs team. This individual will provide scientific and medical oversight for review and approval of promotional and medical materials in alignment with corporate standards, medical strategy, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight for scientific review and approval of promotional and medical materials in compliance with corporate standards, FDA/OPDP guidelines, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with medical leads to ensure promotional and non-promotional materials are aligned with broader medical strategy.
- Offer medical and scientific expertise to commercial teams to support promotional claims, stakeholder education, and product understanding.
- Partner cross-functionally to integrate current medical information into departmental resources.
- Support Medical Review needs across Sales Materials, Congress Materials, and Medical Education content.
- Work independently, learn quickly, and retain information effectively.
Work Schedule
- Part-time: 20 hours per week.
- Must be available during normal work hours
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant medical review or medical affairs experience.
- Advanced scientific degree required: PharmD, MD, or Master’s in Biology or Chemistry.
- Medical Review experience using Veeva (PromoMats or Vault Medical Review).
- Subject matter expertise in Immunology; Rheumatology strongly preferred.
- Experience reviewing promotional and non-promotional scientific materials for accuracy and compliance.
- Strong understanding of FDA/OPDP regulations and medical/legal review processes (MLR).
- Ability to work independently, absorb direction quickly, and retain complex medical/scientific information.
Preferred Qualifications
- 9+ years dedicated as a Medical Reviewer.
- Deep expertise in Immunology and/or Rheumatology therapeutic areas.
- Experience supporting US Immunology Medical Affairs teams specifically.
