Duties:
- Perform complex field service operations that typically present unusual problems requiring strong technical skills.
- Perform semi-technical work on development and production projects, integrating requirements with own understanding of the complete project.
- Perform basic fabrication, assembly, erection, maintenance, repair and operation of products, systems, laboratory calibration or test equipment.
- Conduct tests or experiments requiring selection and adaptation or modification of equipment and products, and record data.
- Compile and correlate a variety of data, reduce data for analysis, prepare schematics, diagrams, or parts lists and make recommendations regarding test procedures and hardware.
- Troubleshoot test equipment and apply own knowledge and experience towards the solution of any problems, such as types of repairs or modifications required.
- Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs, and assist in determining resource requirements.
- Lead the performance of assigned field services projects such as non-destructive examinations and analysis.
- Assist in planning and coordinating team efforts. Guide less experienced technicians and instruct them in proper and safe operation of equipment.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering and 1+ year of related field experience or HSD/GED and 3+ years of experience
- Electrical experience with soldiering
- Electrical assembly and mechanical assembly
- Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings
- Thorough understanding of Engineering concepts and practices
- Ability to select most effective approaches and adapt standard practices and procedures to resolve complex semi-technical problems
- Strong communications skills and ability to lead less experienced staff
