- This role will support software & hardware integration testing and will work on lab instruments
- Ideally seeking someone who's worked with both HW & SW
- Day to day will perform installation, configuration, & management tasks, troubleshoot equipment, plan R&D lab capacity, manage stockroom.
- Role will help support any of the software team requests, which are typically to install software on the lab machines, troubleshoot it, make sure it's ready for the testing that comes in, and test the software.
- Past hires included people who came from companies that built the machines (more HW). Also seen people come from IT with both HW & SW. Both sides have fit into this role. All hires had strong troubleshooting skills.
- Windows or Linux a plus. Most machines Windows environment, but he'd never say never on Linux.
- Assist engineers in testing and troubleshooting systems
- Perform equipment maintenance and calibrations
- Support manufacturing and process optimization efforts
