We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Jr Packaging Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in El Segundo, CA Details for the position are as follows:
- $24hr based on previous experience.
- This is a hybrid role. WFH 2 days flexible 2 Fridays of the month must come in
- 12+month contract- (potential to extend or convert based on performance & budget).
- Track New Product Development timeline and follow-up on deliverables
- Assist in research and develop packaging components
- MINDS (Packaging Spec System) support
- Manage first production samples – receive and ship packages to/from suppliers and L’Oréal plants, create organization system for team by category
- Lead a complexity 1 or 2 level project to learn Development Launch process
- Attend development meetings and recap follow-ups
- Value Analysis support to plant and team
- Support sustainability packaging projects and manage report communication
- Interface with all operations and manufacturing teams
- Perform other duties as necessary or required.
- Experience in package development, product development, operations, project management or a closely related field.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong multi-tasking abilities, detail-oriented, and confident with project management.
- Strong prioritization, time management, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills (written and oral) – able to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage documentation, materials, and information efficiently.
- Professional and energetic with a positive attitude.
- Ability to self-manage and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Prior packaging background is a significant plus.
