Job Description:
- We are seeking a motivated early-career scientist to join our Companion Diagnostics (CDx) Pharma Services team.
- This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a strong scientific background and hands-on laboratory experience—through coursework, research projects, or internships—to begin their career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Our CDx Pharma Services group specializes in developing immunohistochemistry (IHC)-based assays that detect biomarkers in tumor biopsy samples.
- Partnering with biopharmaceutical companies, we design and validate early-stage assays to support drug development and precision medicine.
- Support the design, development, and validation of exploratory assays for biomarker detection.
- Perform hands-on wet lab work, including staining and assay optimization.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on assay progress and results to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of ~40 assay development scientists.
- Participate in client-facing discussions to share scientific updates and ensure project alignment.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Prior laboratory experience (academic research, senior projects, or internships required; industry experience a plus).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and present scientific data clearly.
- Customer service or client-facing experience (including outside of science, e.g., service industry) highly valued.
- Enthusiasm for learning, adaptability, and the ability to work in a collaborative team setting.
- 5-month contract with high potential for conversion to permanent, based on performance
- Pay: $25-27 hourly, depending on experience level
- Onsite, M-F, 8am-5pm
