We are seeking a Mechanical Designer with strong CAD expertise to support industrial equipment design projects in an onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine mechanical equipment designs using AutoCAD® 2023 and Inventor 2023.
- Prepare full drawing packages (assembly + detail) and ensure compliance with drafting standards.
- Execute design changes to resolve equipment interferences, reduce costs, and improve functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and project requirements.
- Perform elementary design calculations (statics, hydraulics, power transmission).
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of mechanical design experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD® 2023, Inventor 2023, and related CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of drive trains, actuators, system integration, and GD&T.
- Ability to interpret pneumatic/electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with machining and fabrication processes.
- Must be US Person status due to export compliance regulations.
- AS or BS in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology strongly preferred.
Work Details:
- Onsite role in Wilmington, NC
- 40 hrs/week, with occasional overtime during peak periods
- Some travel may be required (minimal)
