- Pay: $30-47/hr.
- 3-year assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
- Perform laboratory-based processing of human biospecimens, including DNA/RNA extraction, cell culture, organoid culture, and isolation of Serum, Plasma, and PBMCs from blood samples.
- Track, register, prepare, and distribute biological samples from clinical and non-clinical trials while maintaining associated metadata and documentation.
- Execute manual and automated sample processing workflows to meet research customer needs, ensuring operational excellence in quality, cost, and compliance.
- Plan and carry out assigned projects under minimal supervision, applying scientific knowledge and experience to resolve moderate-scope problems.
- Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and quality of experimental results; summarize findings and communicate outcomes via reports or presentations to Lab Head.
- Manage electronic records using validated systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work safely with various human biological materials, adhering to BSL-2 lab conditions and internal/external safety guidelines.
- Participate in routine laboratory maintenance, safety practices, and inventory management.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders to support research goals.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant lab experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years is required
- Experience with DNA/RNA extraction for human samples is required
- Experience with bio sample management and handling is required
- Experience within a BSL2 environment is preferred
- Experience with handling FFPE, OCT tissue blocks and slides with pathology lab sample handling is preferred
- Experience with organoid cell culture and flow cytometry is preferred
