Research Associate - South San Francisco, CA
- Pay: $36-60/hr.
- 12-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
- Generate engineered cells(including cancer cell lines, iPSCs, and primary cells) using stable integration (both lentivirus and piggybac) and CRISPR gene editing
- Transfection/ gene editing optimization
- Troubleshoot cell engineering protocols
- Characterize engineered cells using genomics and molecular assays
- Maintain and quality check cell lines in culture
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience, or Master’s degree with 1+ years, or recent PhD
- Mammalian cell culture is required, T cell or iPSC is highly preferred
- Experience with cell line generation and cell line maintenance is required
- Experience with CRISPR is required
- Experience with DNA/RNA/protein extraction and quantification is preferred
- Experience with PCR/RT-PCR/ddPCR is preferred
- Experience with benchling/FlowJo/graphpad is preferred
