Sales Compensation Analyst
Pay: $35 - $40/hour
Duration: 6 months (initial contract with the potential to extend or convert)
Location: Remote
Role Overview:
As a Sales Compensation Analyst, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, administration, and audit of global sales compensation programs. This position partners closely with Sales, Finance, HR, and IT to ensure compensation plans are aligned with business objectives, easy to understand, and flawlessly executed.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Administration
- Support the full incentive compensation cycle: pull and validate sales performance data, process payments per plan guidelines, and ensure accurate execution through thorough checks and system reconciliations
- Develop and implement audit frameworks to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies prior to payout
- Partner with Finance and Payroll to ensure timely and accurate disbursement of incentive payments, draws, accelerators, and SPIFFs
Communication & Collaboration

Address inquiries from sales reps and managers regarding plan structure, performance tracking, exception requests, and payout details
Governance & Compliance

Maintain thorough documentation of compensation plans, processes, policies, and calculations to support audit-readiness and ensure transparency
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of direct experience owning sales compensation processes
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with sales compensation platforms (e.g., Forma.ai, Xactly, Anaplan, CaptivateIQ)
- Experience supporting compensation for a team of 50+ sellers and sales leaders
- Strong understanding of sales incentive structures including quotas, accelerators, draws, and SPIFFs
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets (complex formulas, VLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables, and data analysis)
- Ability to manage and audit large datasets across systems
- Strong process improvement mindset; able to enhance and document procedures to boost accuracy and compliance
- Excellent time management in high-growth, fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related analytical field
- Experience supporting global sales organizations or working across multiple regions
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
