We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (HSE) Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in Henning, IL. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
Pay: $30–$37/hour to start
Duration: 6-month assignment to start with potential for extension based on performance and budget
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design, develop, and implement programs. Manage core team resources and oversee project planning and execution. Coordinate EHS&S assessment activities, including scheduling, reporting, and follow-up. - Safety Leadership and Training:
Act as Safety Coordinator for corporate and sales office locations (including Omaha, Illinois, Bentonville, and others). Lead the Floor Captain Program and facilitate annual emergency preparedness training. Develop and implement safety training through the LMS. - Reporting and Metrics:
Create, monitor, and distribute key safety performance metrics and reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or an EHS&S-related field (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project organization, planning, and execution (Required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Required)
- Strong ability to create and deliver presentations for senior management and external stakeholders (Required)
- Excellent communication and management skills (Required)
