- Pay: $60-70/hr.
- 12-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
- Support generation and optimization of engineered mammalian cell lines (transfection pools, clones) for candidate biotherapeutics.
- Perform mammalian cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques (sterile technique, cell counting, passaging, cryopreservation, plasmid prep, PCR, restriction digests).
- Manage multiple studies simultaneously, organize data, prepare reports/presentations, and present findings in lab meetings.
- Contribute to lab organization, reagent tracking, and ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team, showing initiative, adaptability, and strong communication and organizational skills.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- or Master’s degree with 4–5 years, or PhD with 2–3 years of relevant experience
- Required Experience:
- Hands-on expertise in mammalian cell culture, specifically suspension CHO cell lines
- Proficiency in core molecular biology techniques (e.g., plasmid prep, PCR, restriction digests)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent studies and deliver high-quality, well-documented data
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills in fast-paced R&D environments
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting
- Familiarity with cell line development workflows, including transfection, pool/clone generation, and cell banking
- Experience contributing to lab operations, reagent tracking, and data management systems
