We’re looking for a detail-oriented and curious scientist to support our protein mass spectrometry lab. You’ll play a key role in preparing biological samples and developing analytical methods that drive impactful research.
- 11-month contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion depending on performance and budget.
- Rate: $30-37 an hour
- Location: Andover, MA – 100% onsite
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and curious scientist to support our protein mass spectrometry lab. You’ll play a key role in preparing biological samples and developing analytical methods that drive impactful research.
- Prepare biological samples (cells, tissues, plasma) for LC-MS analysis
- Perform protein lysis, immunoprecipitation, digestion, filtration, and concentration
- Design and execute experiments in collaboration with scientists
- Develop and optimize analytical methods
- Analyze, interpret, and document results in electronic lab notebooks
- Present findings and contribute to team discussions
- Maintain high standards of lab safety and data integrity
- BS or MS degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields
- 2+ years’ industry experience preparing biological samples (cells, plasma, tissues) for LC-MS analysis through techniques like lysis, immunoprecipitation, digestion, and filtration.
- Background in protein biochemistry, immunoassays, or proteomic techniques is preferred
