Position: Customer Service Representative
Pay: $20–$23/hr
Duration: 1 year
Location: Onsite – Corning, NY
Education: Associate degree required
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in customer service or corporate environment (strongly preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage domestic and international customer accounts to ensure accurate, timely order processing
- Enter and validate orders using PeopleSoft and SAP systems
- Coordinate logistics for export and offshore orders using Origin Manager
- Create shipping templates, confirm routing, obtain quotes, and manage booking details
- Maintain and develop customer service processes across global locations
- Create/approve ePOs and customer invoices; validate sold-through invoice details
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations for international shipments
- Support global customer service teams and assist with credits, rebates, and RMAs
- Generate RFQs and quotes based on product and pricing knowledge
- Monitor open orders and shipments to meet customer deadlines
- Track deliveries and manage exceptions proactively
- Maintain accurate customer profiles and agreements in internal systems
- Ensure timely and accurate Fiber Data Delivery (FDD) for shipments
- Respond to inquiries within 24 hours regarding orders, FDD, or product information
- Provide product recommendations based on technical knowledge and customer needs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Shipping, QA, IT, Finance, Sales, and external partners
- Resolve billing and payment discrepancies with customers
- Support sales team with reports and ad hoc analysis
- Participate in business projects and improvement initiatives as needed
