Pay Rate: $49.27/hr
Duration: 18 Month contract initially
Shift: Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Clark, NJ | 2 days WFH


Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manager, Customs and Trade Compliance to join our dynamic Trade Compliance team. This role involves supporting import/export activities, customs entry audits, data management, and compliance reporting. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance, supply chain, or international business and a passion for global trade.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Manage import and export reporting using SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Resolve customs issues during the entry process.
  • Create reports that highlight KPIs and customs-related business trends.
  • Support Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification and country of origin assessment.
  • Conduct preferential origin assessments for Free Trade Agreement eligibility and prepare Certificates of Origin.
  • Maintain and audit Master Data across systems, ensuring accurate classification and origin details.
  • Maintain compliance-related records and documentation for import/export transactions.
  • Perform entry audits and calculate customs KPIs.
  • Assist with the Duty Drawback program including data collection and reporting.
  • Monitor CBP and Partner Government Agencies (PGA) regulation updates to maintain internal compliance.
  • Support customs value adjustments as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in import/export, customs brokerage, financial analysis, or global supply chain.
  • Customs Brokerage License is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and drives process improvements.
  • Strong work ethic with eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Bonus Points For

  • Experience using SAP.
  • Familiarity with import/export compliance software.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and procedures.
