Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid – 4 onsite days/week, flexible hours)
Type: 12-month Contract (Potential for Extension Based on Performance)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Market & UX Research Specialist to support strategic initiatives across multiple projects, with a focus on B2B software research, market intelligence, and user experience insights. This role requires strong analytical skills, independent initiative, and the ability to communicate findings clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Competitive Research: Analyze industry trends, identify competitor strengths/weaknesses, and provide actionable insights.
- Market Research: Investigate target audiences, market dynamics, and business opportunities to inform product and marketing strategies.
- UX Research: Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to understand needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Research Presentation: Create compelling visuals and documentation in Figma and other tools to present findings to stakeholders.
- Insight Communication: Deliver clear, polished presentations to communicate research findings to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Strategic Contribution: Support ongoing, long-term competitive and market research to inform business strategy—not just individual project needs.
- Independent Leadership: Lead research projects end-to-end and influence stakeholder decision-making through data-backed insights.
- Agility in Research: Use fast, efficient secondary research methods (e.g., surveys, desktop research) to uncover trends, use cases, and market opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required!
- 3+ years’ experience with competitive and market research in technical or B2B environments.
- Demonstrated UX research capability, with a user-first mindset and experience using a variety of methodologies.
- Proficiency with Figma and modern research/visualization tools.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill and convey complex information clearly.
- Proven ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment and deliver research quickly when needed.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and drive research projects forward with minimal oversight.
