Associate Director, Global Payer Value & Access – Vaccines
Reports to: Senior Director, Global Strategic Access, and Pricing
Location: Fully Remote
Pay Rate: $55 - $80/hour
Employment Type: Contract (10 months)
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director of Global Payer Value & Access (PVA) to drive global pricing, market access, and reimbursement strategy for a breakthrough vaccine.
This fully remote role is key to ensuring sustainable and equitable access to vaccines across global markets. You’ll collaborate closely with regional teams, country affiliates, and cross-functional partners in Commercial, HEOR, Public Affairs, and Medical Affairs to bring this life-saving vaccine to those who need it most.
What You’ll Do
Global Strategy & Pricing
- Shape global pricing and access strategies that align value with affordability.
- Define payer segmentation and engagement frameworks for diverse procurement environments (e.g., PAHO, GAVI, UNICEF, private markets).
- Conduct pricing scenario analyses and support regional negotiation planning.
Lifecycle Management
- Refine lifecycle pricing based on market shifts, WHO policy, and new evidence.
- Monitor competitive landscape and public procurement changes.
- Support regions in responding to emerging market dynamics and new entrants.
Regional & Local Execution
- Guide local market access strategy development and tender support.
- Support Global Value Dossier (GVD) localization, pricing tools, and health economic modeling.
- Assist with NITAG engagement, payer ad boards, and regional capability-building.
Digital & Data-Driven Insights
- Use platforms like Dengue.com and RWD tools to enhance payer communication.
- Leverage AI-driven pricing analytics to forecast procurement trends.
What You Bring
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MSc, PharmD or similar).
- 5+ years in Market Access, HEOR, Pricing, or Public Affairs, ideally within vaccines.
- Deep knowledge of global access frameworks and multilateral procurement (e.g., GAVI, PAHO, HTA agencies).
- Experience in emerging markets and with tendering/contracting models.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Bonus If You Have
- Experience with PDPs, tech transfer, tiered or volume-based pricing.
- Familiarity with LMIC health financing systems and procurement strategies
