SR Specialist, Planner Scheduler Maintenance & Calibration

Pay: $50.53/hr
Location: Onsite in Fremont, CA
Duration: 1 year contract initially
 
Position Overview:
The Maintenance & Calibration Scheduler | Planner is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and managing maintenance activities across operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors to ensure efficient execution of work. The role involves identifying and procuring necessary resources, ensuring timely delivery, and managing work plans to optimize maintenance workflows while prioritizing safety.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance work to minimize delays and maximize workforce efficiency.
  • Ensure all necessary resources (work scope, job instructions, MRO parts, equipment, personnel) are identified and available before the start of work.
  • Develop and manage work plans based on work requests and site inspections, estimating required man-hours, parts, and material costs.
  • Track and review actual work effort, duration, and materials used, revising plans as needed to improve future maintenance effectiveness.
  • Perform job reviews to assess work performance, maintenance testing, and recommend changes to PM programs or inventory management.
  • Publish weekly lists of approved and planned maintenance work.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify recurring issues, and collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering to resolve problems.
  • Ensure storeroom efficiency by managing stock levels and coordinating the procurement of critical parts and materials.
  • Interface with EHS, Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to address concerns and ensure alignment with safety and operational requirements.
  • Drive and manage KPI reports, contributing to process improvements and meeting performance objectives.
  • Maintain and update CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for accurate preventive maintenance records.
 
Key Skills:
  • Experience in work planning, scheduling, and coordination in industrial maintenance.
  • Proficient in CMMS systems, ERP systems (Oracle/SAP), and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to perform data analysis and drive KPI reporting for continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Experience with procurement processes and vendor management.
  • Ability to optimize resource allocation and improve maintenance effectiveness.
 
Qualifications:
  • AS/AA degree in engineering, maintenance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments.
