­­­­­­­­Seeking a Process Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in ­­RTP, NC. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

**100% ONSITE: Monday-Friday Day Shift + Occasional Weekends (2-4 hours per day)**

  • Overview:
    • The successful candidate will join the Pilot Scale Development team, focusing on supporting development lab runs, data aggregation and modeling for manufacturing recombinant proteins at the pilot scale (50-1000L).
    • Work will be centered around supporting E2E operations of fed batch platform development using stainless and disposable equipment.
  • Responsibilities:
    • The individual will operate stainless and single-use equipment from thaw to DS fill, supporting lab work to achieve CMC milestones and 2025 pilot goals.
    • Responsibilities include planning, documenting, and analyzing experiments, using modeling tools for process predictions, and assisting with tech transfers to manufacturing facilities.
    • They will maintain and calibrate equipment, troubleshoot, perform repairs, and commission new equipment as needed.
    • Additionally, the role involves ensuring lab productivity, supporting lab upgrades, and contributing to continuous improvement and innovation projects.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree
  • 1+ year industry (biotech/pharma preferred)
  • Strong laboratory background (upstream or downstream)
  • Sterile Technique & Biologics Development preferred
  • Relevant Skills: Protein Production | mAbs (Monoclonal Antibodies) | Process development | Data analysis | Manufacturing recombinant proteins at the pilot scale (50-1000L) | Pilot plant | Stainless and disposable/single-use equipment ex. Bioreactors

Compensation: $35-43.84 per hour
