- Pay: $50-60/hr.
- Some travel to Waltham, MA will be required as needed
- 12-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
- Technically support non-viral gene therapy team through execution of thoughtfully designed cell biology experiments in collaboration with peers.
- Develop and execute techniques for successful gene editing of various cell types (including technologies such as electroporation and delivery of LNPs).
- Evaluate target editing using various types of analysis to evaluate mRNA and protein expression by flow cytometry. Cell sorting experience and magnetic isolation of cells is preferred.
- Design and work with diverse cell culture systems to evaluate function of edited cells.
- Collaborate across teams within and outside of the GMU department.
- Act as an impactful contributor on different projects in the group.
- Incorporates strong research integrity practices.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience is required
- Experience in genome editing applications is required
- Experience with human primary cell culture is required
- Experience with flow cytometry is required, mRNA protein expression via flow cytometry is highly preferred
